Saving the Society
April 15, 2012
THE REPORTS of the Society having to end have been much exaggerated. Of course, when a Committee have been putting in hard work for years, the urge to rest is natural..
However, before they resigned amicably from their positions, the Committee veterans decided to call wholesale for a new guard, and the response was what they wanted. However, some of the outgoing Committee have stayed to advise and guide the newcomers, which was just what was wanted in a first year of a practically re-formed Committee.
The first test of the new Committee was organizing the Spring Show on 14 April 2012, in the new location of All Saints Church Hall in Childs HIll, London NW2. The new Committee worked hard and did well, but thank goodness they had some of the old guard to advise on the technical problems and tying up loose ends.
We now look forward to the Society's next event, the Plant Sale on 12 May 2012 at 2 pm, also in NW2, in Sanderstead Avenue. Details can be accessed by way of our Calendar button on this website.
